Hugh Jackman’s The Death of Robin Hood opens June 19, 2026

Hugh Jackman, whose return as an older Logan in James Mangold's Logan was described as his best-ever performance as the Marvel character, stars in The Death of Robin Hood. The film is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One) and, A24 says, will arrive in theaters on June 19, 2026.

A24's official description reads: "Grappling with his past after a life of crime and murder, Robin Hood finds himself gravely injured after a battle he thought would be his last. In the hands of a mysterious woman, he is offered a chance at salvation." Sarnoski has said his take will not be the gallant, lighthearted outlaw commonly seen on screen.
