The FIFA World Cup kicks off today, June 11, and three of the first four matches will feature each of the host countries. Before play begins, the United States, Mexico and Canada will each hold an opening ceremony set to start 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff, showcasing talent from the host nation and cultural traditions.

Mexico’s opening ceremony will feature J Balvin, Maná, Belinda, Alejandro Fernández, Los Ángeles Azules, Lila Downs and Danny Ocean. Shakira and Burna Boy will also be present to debut the World Cup 2026 anthem, “Dai Dai.” The Canadian opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday afternoon, will be headlined by Alanis Morrisette, with Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince.

Ahead of the UMSNT’s first match, the United States opening ceremony will include Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla. All three ceremonies are scheduled to begin 90 minutes before kickoff and will air on FOX. June 11, 1:30 p.m. ET (3 p.m.
