How to rescue or pet John Wick's dog in Fortnite

It can be tricky to rescue or pet John Wick's dog in Fortnite because he only appears in a couple of locations, so you’re unlikely to stumble across him by accident. If you own the Battle Pass, freeing him is worth the effort: the Dog (Pen & Ink) sidekick is added to your locker when you rescue him.

There are two possible spawn points and the dog appears randomly each match. He will either be in the hotel lobby on the south side of Sinister Strip or in the sewers in the northeast of The Battlewoods. You’ll know you’re close if you can hear barking; if you don’t find him at one spot, head to the other.

The dog starts locked in a cage and is guarded by a couple of NPC enemies who will attack when you approach. After you eliminate them a second wave of goons will spawn; deal with that threat, then interact with the cage to free the dog and pet him to receive a selection of powerful weapons and items.
