How to open Scatty's chest in Gothic Remake

Scatty's chest sits inside his hut, the building down to your lower left when you're talking to Fingers. The hut has a long red banner by the door, weapons on the wall and a noticeboard outside. Scatty runs the arena and leaves for it in the morning, so that's the time to enter while he's away.

The chest you need is straight ahead when you enter. Save before attempting to pick it so you can reload if you run out of lockpicks. Without any lockpick training, move the plates in this order (numbered from front to back): 1. Move the third plate to the left five times.

2. Move the fifth plate to the left five times. 3. Move the fourth plate to the left four times. 4. Move the fifth plate to the left four times. 5. Move the second plate to the right four times. 6. Move the fifth plate to the left four times. 7. Move the first plate to the right two times.
