How to get a Loof Horn in Witchspire

The Loof Horn is required to upgrade your Hearth to level five and begin unlocking mid-tier crafting items. The item’s purpose is clear, but finding one and getting it to drop can be confusing and unreliable.

Loof Horns drop from Granloof monsters. These larger, ox-like creatures appear in the Trampling Grounds, an open area in the southwest corner of the starting island. They spawn there and wander the area at random.

Granloofs are tougher than the smaller Lamloofs and most are around level eight, so players who are near or beyond that level should be able to defeat them without too much trouble. Drops aren’t guaranteed, but repeated kills will eventually yield Loof Horns.

If you defeat enough Granloofs you may also get the chance to bond with one. As early-game familiars, bonded Granloofs are among the most useful companions in Witchspire.
