The planned Madison Square Garden wedding is expected to be a production on the scale of Swift’s “Eras” tour. Los Angeles–based wedding planner Mark Seed has been working on the event for months ahead of the July 3 date, and the arena currently shows no events from June 29 through July 6.

Staging a ceremony inside the 20,000-seat arena would require major build-out and a concert-style production. Darren Olarsch calls it "an Eras-tour level production," noting that what might be a $300,000 wedding elsewhere could cost around $3 million inside the Garden.

Planners would need to build overhead structures and draping to reduce the 150-foot ceiling, create a mini stage, dance floor and surrounding tables on the arena floor, and use lighting to black out the seating tiers. Organizers expect multiple distinct spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, dancing and an afterparty.
