Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered coming in 2027

IO Interactive and Saber Interactive are remastering the Hitman Classic Trilogy. A Steam page appeared after a Summer Game Fest presentation, listing Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman: Contracts as returning entries. The collection is marked "coming soon" on Steam; the developers say that means 2027, and it's planned for PS5 and Xbox.

Side-by-side screenshots on Steam show noticeable improvements to objects, textures and lighting, and the remaster appears to preserve the original art direction and essential details. An "instant graphics toggle" lets players switch between the original presentation and enhanced visuals, and the package promises upgraded character models, enhanced environments and high-resolution textures plus a new photo mode — though taking pictures of yourself actively assassinating folks might not be wise.

A Saber spokesperson said, "For us, remastering isn't just about taking visuals. It's about finding the original vision while embracing the possibilities of today's technology.
