Hip-hop producer Tay Keith has died at 29. He was found dead in his Nashville apartment after a welfare check, Metro Nashville Police announced via X Thursday. His cause of death is unknown, and officers don’t suspect foul play. The Memphis-born producer co-produced Travis Scott’s 2018 hit “Sicko Mode” and earned a Grammy nomination for best rap song at the 61st annual awards in 2019.

He was nominated again in 2024 in the same category for his work on Drake and 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex,” and he also helped produce Drake’s “Nonstop” and BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive.” Keith — born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers — produced the bonus track “Before I Let Go” on Beyoncé’s 2019 Homecoming: The Live Album.
