Nintendo confirmed a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time during its most recent Direct, but few details have been released. Over the weekend, fans digging through the game's online store page found a short description hidden in the site's code. The snippet read: "The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2.

Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay." If you search for that text now, it has been removed; Nintendo appears to have deleted the summary from the site's backend after fans discovered it. The deletion sparked debate.

Some assumed the company did not want the text public, while others called it placeholder copy that was never meant for users to see. The wording led some to suggest the remake will mainly refresh visuals rather than remake the game from the ground up, drawing comparisons to the Star Fox 64 remake for Switch 2, which largely preserves original gameplay while offering upgraded visuals.
