Here's what Claude Fable 5 means for crypto and DeFi

Anthropic's Claude Fable 5, the first public Mythos-class model, brings stronger reasoning and coding abilities and is released in two variants: a public version that blocks the most dangerous uses and a less restricted Claude Mythos 5 available only to vetted cybersecurity users.

High-risk requests are routed to a fallback model, Claude Opus 4.8, which the company says triggers in fewer than 5% of sessions, and extensive external testing found no universal bypass; Anthropic nevertheless expects determined attackers to keep trying. Security experts warn that advanced AI will not invent fundamentally new crypto hacks so much as speed up how quickly attackers find misconfigurations and chain vulnerabilities, including zero-days, social engineering, exposed keys and flawed signing flows.
