Henry Cavill's Night Hunter Rebounds to Become Streaming Hit
Henry Cavill’s eight-year-old action crime thriller Night Hunter, also released as Nomis in some territories, has found new life on streaming. The film casts Cavill as a maverick, rule-breaking detective sporting a far scruffier, more disheveled look than audiences saw in Man of Steel or In the Grey.
Written and directed by David Raymond, Night Hunter pairs Cavill with Alexandra Daddario as a police profiler and Ben Kingsley as a mysterious vigilante, with the trio becoming entangled in a dangerous scheme involving a troubled man linked to years of abductions and disappearances.
Critics originally savaged the film, which received a 14% score on Rotten Tomatoes, a 50% audience rating on the Popcornmeter, and grossed just $1 million at the box office; its runtime is listed as 95 minutes. The movie has been a fixture in the global top 10 on Paramount+ for months, briefly slipped off the charts and has now returned, currently ranking at #7.
