Hen Mazzig and husband feature in documentary 'Uninvited'

Jewish advocate Hen Mazzig and his husband, Marc Jorden, star in a short documentary titled Uninvited that examines the cost of being a public voice amid rising antisemitism. The film follows the Israeli-born activist and Jorden as they prepare for their wedding, beginning the guest list and taking stock of relationships lost in the aftermath of October 7.

Mazzig’s social media posts have been shared by celebrities including Pink, Amy Schumer and Gal Gadot. “Making ‘Uninvited’ meant allowing people into one of the most vulnerable parts of my life,” Mazzig says. “I have lost friends and loved ones because of my identity and my public advocacy, but seeing that loss extend to Marc was devastating.

He did not choose a public life in the same way I did, yet he was forced to carry the social cost of loving me.” He adds that there is no shortcut through that kind of loss and that the support of those who remain becomes a chosen family.
