Helen Mirren Backs Tom Hardy Amid MobLand Season 3 Uncertainty
MobLand hit the ground running and built a strong following, but rumors that Tom Hardy had been fired have clouded the show's future. Asked whether Hardy will return for a third season, Helen Mirren said there is no friction between them and that she would happily work with him again.
"I love Tom. I think he's the most amazing actor. I've always loved him on screen and different actors have different processes. I've learned over the years that some people get things fast and other people took time," Mirren said. "As long as what's on the screen is fantastic, I'm totally chilled with whatever, however anyone gets there.
Tom is a very special person. He's got the kindest heart… I think he's absolutely remarkable. So my support of him is genuine and heartfelt." Mirren's comments were framed as a diplomatic acknowledgement of behind-the-scenes tensions.
