Heartstopper to end with feature-length finale in new trailer
Netflix released the trailer for Heartstopper Forever, a feature-length film that will serve as the series finale. Creator Alice Oseman had planned four seasons, but cast contract issues complicated the show's future after Season 3, and in April 2025 Netflix commissioned a film adapting the final volume of the comics.
Series leads Kit Connor and Joe Locke return with most of the original cast, joined by Derek Jacobi. The trailer teases the heartbreak awaiting Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke), balancing scenes of celebration with quieter moments as the characters confront separation and the emotional fallout of growing up.
It highlights a range of feelings — anxiety, rage, affection, self-doubt and yearning — as the two navigate that transition. Oseman has so far adapted her graphic novels beat-for-beat, so the film is widely assumed to deliver a satisfying conclusion.
