Prince Harry hopes to bring family to UK soon but will not see Prince William
Prince Harry hopes to bring Meghan Markle and their children back to England within weeks when he arrives in July to promote the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year, and he wants them to see his father, King Charles. The prince’s ongoing security dispute with the UK government, however, has not been fully resolved, and he is still seeking Home Office sign-off for taxpayer-funded armed protection for his wife and children.
Sources say no firm plans have been made and the focus remains on the Invictus one-year-to-go celebration, scheduled for July 10–17, 2027. Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have barely met their grandfather: Lilibet was born in the USA and has only been to the UK once, in 2022.
Harry is said to be keen to reconcile with the royal family but has not seen his brother, Prince William, since the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
