Halo remake trailer captured on PS5 Pro, puzzling Xbox fans

The official Halo YouTube channel posted a new story trailer for Halo: Campaign Evolved, but many viewers noticed all of the footage was captured on a PS5 Pro. Despite Halo being an Xbox-owned franchise, that detail — displayed at the bottom of the video — drew amusement, confusion and anger online.

On June 8, various official Halo accounts uploaded a three-minute "Cinematic Story Trailer" showing remade moments from the original game. The trailer looks sharper and shows classic scenes rebuilt, but the "Captured On PS5 Pro" message seen at the start became the focal point for many viewers.

Accounts such as Wario64, Charlie Intel and Paul Tassi highlighted the note, and observers asked why Xbox didn't capture the footage on PC. The PS5 Pro is noted as more powerful than the Xbox Series X, which made the choice seem odd to some.
