After watching The Gentlemen, many viewers find themselves hunting for more Guy Ritchie — and Lock, Stock… is worth the dig. This seven-episode Channel 4 series isn’t a sequel to Jason Statham’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; Statham and Nick Moran don’t appear.

Ritchie and executive producer Matthew Vaughn repurposed the same raw materials — London’s East End, catastrophically bad decisions and an atmosphere of cheerful menace — to build a new world. The story follows four friends — Moon, Jamie, Bacon and Lee — who run a pub called The Lock and repeatedly mishandle valuable objects that fall into their orbit.
