Guild Wars teaser sparks speculation about a possible Guild Wars 3

The official Guild Wars account posted a short, cryptic video on Monday with the line “The wind stirs. The world shifts. Stand ready,” showing lightly animated concept art and a date: June 5th, 2026, during the Summer Game Fest 2026 broadcast. Some fans immediately jumped to the most optimistic conclusion: Guild Wars 3.

ArenaNet, when asked if the teaser points to a sequel, offered an official “no comment,” and chose not to temper expectations. There are a few reasons people think this could be more than an expansion. The teaser appeared across both Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 accounts, Guild Wars 2’s latest expansion is still unfolding, and Guild Wars Reforged has already been announced for mobile.

ArenaNet’s own post — “Big things in the #games industry are brewing. Will you be watching?” — also reads like a hint toward something larger. It’s also possible the studio is teasing a spin-off.
