GTA and Crazy Taxi collide in Steam Next Fest's biggest isekai surprise
Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World blends the chaos of Grand Theft Auto–style rampages with arcade delivery thrills reminiscent of Crazy Taxi. The demo, shown during Steam Next Fest, pairs cutesy anime-style graphics with a goal that revolves around wrecking a seaside town with your delivery truck — for a questionable good cause.
The setup begins when your delivery truck accidentally runs over corporate marketer Carissa just before her promotion. In true isekai fashion she is transported to a fantasy world and now haunts you; she can only resurrect in time for her promotion if she quickly gains experience.
To help her, you turn pedestrians into low-level monsters by hitting them, then have Carissa destroy those creatures to farm XP. Each run is time-limited and layers multiple objectives: drive into delivery circles, follow arrows, drift, jump or smash objects to rack up experience, and keep an eye on a pixel-art Carissa at the bottom of the screen who slashes through summoned slimes and skeletons.
