GTA 6 PS5 features confirmed; PS5 Pro enhancements unspecified
Sony and Rockstar say Grand Theft Auto 6 "plays best on PS5," and point to several PlayStation 5–specific features the game will use. GTA 6 will make use of the DualSense controller's integrated speaker, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers, support the PS5's Tempest 3D audio, and rely on the console's ultra-fast SSD to make load times "near-instant." A PlayStation Blog post co-signed by Rockstar and Sony marketing executive Mary Yee frames the claims as part of a marketing partnership.
Sony is using the announcement to encourage players still on PlayStation 4 — where Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto 5 can still be played alongside Fortnite and Minecraft — to upgrade to PS5, with Yee noting players can pick up a PS5 or PS5 Pro at direct.playstation.com and local retailers.
