Rockstar has confirmed the retail price for Grand Theft Auto 6 as pre-orders go live. The standard edition will cost $79.99, while the Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and includes a slew of exclusive cosmetic bonuses and shops. Pre-orders open at midnight on Thursday for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, and early buyers receive the Vintage Vice City pack.

The developer set the game's launch for Nov. 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. A new trailer offered another extended look at protagonists Lucia and Jason, the game's version of Vice City, along with several gameplay sequences focused on heists, high-speed chases, and social media-fueled crime sprees.

Pricing for GTA 6 has been a major debate as publishers have pushed game prices higher this console generation, with standard AAA releases increasingly settling around the $70 mark. Analysts and fans had speculated the sequel might push blockbuster pricing higher, with some fearing $80, $90, or even $100 depending on the edition and included online content.
