GTA 6 pre-orders open next week as Rockstar reveals official cover art
After a couple of delays, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has reassured fans that Grand Theft Auto 6 will release on November 19 this year. Rockstar announced pre-orders will begin on June 25, which the company revealed in a surprise update. Alongside the pre-order date Rockstar revealed the game's official cover art.
The design follows the familiar style seen before, with multiple fluorescent images spliced together and nearly mirroring Vice City's cover art, with a few images swapped. The artwork shows protagonists Jason Duval and Lucua Caminos, a speed boat, a sports car, a helicopter, a woman in a bikini, men with guns and motorbikes, and an alligator.
A tattoo under the woman's bikini strap reads "Vice Baby", fitting the game's setting in Leonida—based on Florida—and its return to Vice City's sun-soaked streets. Players seem elated to get new details after more than a year since GTA 6's second trailer.
