GTA 6 is likely to be one of the most densely detailed open-world games when it arrives on November 19. The long-awaited return to Vice City is central to Rockstar's blockbuster, but marketing has already suggested the map will include much more of the state of Leonida, in the same way GTA 5 expanded beyond Los Santos.

Rockstar's work on Red Dead Redemption and especially Red Dead Redemption 2 showed a strong attention to wildlife and outdoor activities that GTA hasn't always prioritised. San Andreas initially lacked many animal species and related activities until later updates, while RDR2 pushed animal locations and a massive compendium to the forefront of play.

Those everyday, often mundane activities — fishing, taming horses, compiling animal lists — helped make RDR2's world feel lived-in and gave players space to disconnect from constant crime.
