Rockstar Games has started sharing concrete details for Grand Theft Auto 6 ahead of its Nov. 19 release. With pre-orders live, the company outlined multiple editions and prices, with the cheapest set at $79.99. The Ultimate Edition will unlock premium vehicles, weapons and other bonuses, but not all at once: its description says those extras are "threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter." The use of "chapter" in that line suggests GTA 6 may be divided into large, distinct sections rather than a continuous stream of missions.

Red Dead Redemption 2 divided Arthur Morgan's story into clear parts, a structure that enabled time jumps and sweeping changes to the game's map. Vice City and its surrounding area already look to be a massive setting for GTA 6, so anchoring chapters to different sections of the map would help guide players through that environment and let Rockstar play with genre and tone.
