Rockstar Games has revealed the box art for GTA 6 as pre-orders are set to begin next week, and uploaded a short clip of Vice City that showcases the Florida environment in more detail.

Since the 3D era began, the series has used a collage-style cover design starting with GTA 3 (though that game had unique art in some regions). Every main entry has featured a helicopter in the top left, the sole exception being the DS spinoff Chinatown Wars, which returned to the top-down perspective and did not include helicopters. Despite the 13-year wait between games, GTA 6’s box art follows the same pattern, with a helicopter in the top left.

Fans reacted quickly — the top comment on the GTA subreddit was “The helicopter is back on the corner!” With pre-orders starting, there is hope we won't see another delay (or at least not a major one), and Rockstar didn’t mess up with the cover art, keeping one of the game’s oldest traditions alive.
