Khadija Shaw and Alex Greenwood starred as new Women's Super League champions Manchester City completed the double with a 4-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup final. City took time to find their rhythm in the capital, but two late first-half goals gave them a commanding lead they never relinquished.

Brighton started the brighter side, dominating possession for the first 30 minutes and creating half-chances as Fran Kirby and Maisie Symonds had shots blocked and Madison Haley was denied by goalkeeper Ayaka Yamashita, who stood in for the injured Khiara Keating.

Once City grew into the game, Greenwood’s cross found Shaw, who headed home, and shortly after Shaw was fouled on the edge of the box, allowing Greenwood to sweep a free-kick into the bottom corner before half-time. City made the result safe after the hour when Aoba Fujino scored within minutes of coming on, following excellent work by Shaw down the right.
