Grayscale nears Hyperliquid ETF launch with 0.29% fee
Grayscale moved closer to launching its Hyperliquid exchange-traded fund after amending its S-1 registration to add a 0.29% sponsor fee and the proposed HYPG ticker, bringing the product nearer to the U.S. market as demand for HYPE-linked funds grows. The 0.29% fee undercuts 21Shares’ THYP, which charges 0.30%, and sits below Bitwise’s BHYP, which charges 0% for the first month before moving to 0.34%.
Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst James Seyffart posted that he expects Grayscale’s fund to launch this week and described the move as likely imminent following the amendment. If launched, the fund would be the third U.S.-listed Hyperliquid ETF, following offerings from 21Shares and Bitwise, giving Grayscale a price advantage in the early competition for HYPE ETF assets.
21Shares launched its Hyperliquid ETF on Nasdaq under the ticker THYP and a 2x leveraged version under TXXH; THYP pulled in more than $5 million within days of its debut.
