Grayscale’s Hyperliquid ETF Likely to Launch This Week
Grayscale could launch an exchange-traded fund tied to the Hyperliquid token in the US as soon as this week after amending the fund's regulatory filing. Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart posted to X that the launch was "likely imminent" and that he was expecting it this week.
The filing was amended for the sixth time to add the fund's ticker and fee. The amended filing shows the ETF would trade under the ticker HYPG with a 0.29% management fee, which Seyffart noted slightly undercuts rival Hyperliquid ETFs from 21Shares and Bitwise.
21Shares charges 0.3% and Bitwise 0.34%; the two ETFs have recorded nearly $140 million in net inflows since launching in mid-May. Grayscale's HYPG is also seeking to stake HYPE to earn yield, following the approach taken by other asset managers. Hyperliquid has become a popular trading platform, with blockchain data showing it now consistently facilitates over $170 billion in monthly trading volume across a broad range of asset classes.
