Sweden manager Graham Potter has spoken of his excitement ahead of a World Cup round-of-32 meeting with France in New Jersey. The former Chelsea coach acknowledged the scale of the occasion and called the fixture a childhood dream come true. Potter praised the tactical depth and pedigree of the French setup and underlined the emotional significance of competing on football’s grandest international stage.

“It’s going to be a fantastic match, the kind of game you dream of experiencing as a child. Playing in New Jersey against France in a World Cup knockout match - it doesn't get any bigger than that. They are one of the best teams in the world, and we obviously have huge respect for them, but we are really looking forward to the match.” He warned that France arrive in formidable form, with four consecutive victories in all competitions and an attack powered by the attacking brilliance of Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembele.
