Google to pay SpaceX $920 million a month for compute capacity
SpaceX said Google agreed to pay $920 million a month for compute capacity from October 2026 to June 2029 in a filing with the SEC. The filing said the package includes "approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components." It also notes that starting in 2027 either side can terminate the arrangement with 90 days' notice.
A Google Cloud spokesperson described the deal as a short-term bridge to meet surging customer demand for Gemini Enterprise, calling Google Cloud and SpaceX long-time partners and saying demand for the agentic AI platform has been higher than expected. The filing arrives as SpaceX prepares for what the company expects will be a record-setting IPO.
