The Google Nest Thermostat regulates temperature while saving energy and can be controlled remotely. It’s normally priced at $130 but is currently $100 on Amazon after a 23% discount; all colors—Charcoal, Fog, Sand, and Snow—are reduced. You may also qualify for additional utility rebates based on where you live.

The tiny thermostat is easy to install and is fully compatible with almost 85% of heating and cooling systems. It can work without a C wire in most homes, though some systems—heating-only, cooling-only, zone-controlled, and heat pump—will need a C wire or another compatible power accessory.

If you aren’t sure about compatibility, enter your current thermostat’s wire labels into the Google Nest Compatibility Checker before purchasing. Once the thermostat is up and running, adjust the temperature with a few quick taps or use the smartphone app to create schedules.
