Publishers are steering clear of Grand Theft Auto 6’s Nov. 19 release date, crowding September and October instead. Atari plans counter-programming: Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will arrive on Nov. 3, one of the few games currently scheduled for November.

The remaster revisits a GameCube-exclusive kaiju brawler from 2002 that became a cult favorite despite mixed reviews. Pipeworks Studios rebuilt the title in Unreal Engine 5, trading the original’s rubbery charm for a glossy modern look while keeping the sense of playing with big toys on city playsets.

Levels have been expanded beyond square arenas, online multiplayer has been added, and Mechagodzilla receives a Showa-era makeover requested by fans. Gameplay remains focused on large, silly beatdowns rather than deep fighting mechanics. Controls feel intuitive on a modern gamepad and the pick-up-and-play nature of the original survives, with enough nuance for players who want to master setups like spacing for atomic breath.
