Gmail's Gemini Flows improves filters but caps at 2,000 emails/month

Gmail's Workspace Studio now includes Gemini Flows, an AI-driven tool that can process incoming messages from a side panel. The feature appears for users on Google's paid AI plans, Google AI Pro ($20/month) and AI Ultra ($100/month). Flows let you set triggers for new mail, scan all messages or only those matching filter tests, and apply AI-powered labels created with Gemini.

They can also create drafts and integrate with Chat, Docs and Meet, and Google supplies starter scripts and a testing interface using recent emails or search results. There are monthly limits: the Pro tier allows 2,000 flow executions per month and Ultra allows 10,000.

Promotional access waived these caps until July 1, 2026, but limits enforcement begins on that date; once a plan's executions are used up, the service stops processing messages.
