Gigabyte MO27Q28GR OLED monitor gets $120 discount before Prime Day

The Gigabyte MO27Q28GR, a highly rated OLED this year, has received a $120 discount ahead of Prime Day, cutting its Amazon price to $480.

This 27-inch model uses LG's W-OLED panel and delivers strong HDR performance. Its per-pixel lighting removes light bleed and preserves detail in dark scenes, with small, bright highlights that stand out.

On the specs side it offers 1440p resolution, a 0.03 ms pixel response and up to 280 Hz refresh. The HyperNits feature, similar to MSI's EOTF Boost, alters the EOTF curve to maintain broader scene brightness in HDR 1500 mode.

Gigabyte uses an RGWB subpixel layout rather than an RGB-stripe, which can make fonts look slightly fuzzy up close. That is unlikely to bother most gamers but may be noticeable for heavy text users.
