Genshin Impact just revealed the villain it's been teasing for 6 years

After six years of hints, Genshin Impact finally showed the Tsaritsa in a new trailer for version 7.0 released June 26. The Cryo Archon, named Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya, appears as a tall, slender woman with very pale skin, silver-white hair, ice-blue eyes and pointed ears, wearing light blue and silver tones that evoke snow and chill.

Her reveal matters because characters in the game have feared and admired her since the launch in 2020: she seeks powerful items called Gnoses to combine their power and overthrow the creators of Teyvat. "Death is not the enemy of love," the Tsaritsa says in the trailer.

"The real enemy is the blessings given by deluded gods." Harbingers have enforced her mission and acted as major antagonists in past story arcs. Version 7.0 will send players to Snezhnya, the snowy seventh nation ruled by the Tsaritsa, and is set to release on August 12.
