Is FromSoftware hiding more than a Switch 2 exclusive?

FromSoftware had been listed among notable Summer Game Fest no-shows, but it surfaced during the Nintendo Direct with a terse line: "Yeah, Duskbloods network test sometime this summer, I guess." The studio also shared a new trailer for the Switch 2 exclusive that feels even more cryptic than the first, coming across as a mood piece rather than a follow-up.

The footage shows gothic exteriors and stained glass, then close-ups of John Bangs and a rat man with glowing tattoos. The narration is ominous and largely incomprehensible. The reveal has reopened questions about where Duskbloods fits in FromSoft's lineup: its Nintendo-exclusive, multiplayer nature has prompted skepticism that it could be the studio's next major release.

Elden Ring Nightreign certainly isn't getting support, so the studio can spare that manpower, and hopes remain for an Armored Core 6 expansion-sequel.
