From Ciara Miller to Ariana Madix: One designer's revenge dresses

The Bravosphere’s recent reunions have produced a new kind of response to betrayal: the revenge dress. Ciara Miller stunned at the Season 10 Summer House reunion in a mesh-illusion Di Petsa gown with sculptural draping, while Ariana Madix debuted a gold Di Petsa “wet” dress when she began hosting Love Island USA.

Both looks followed highly publicized relationship scandals that pushed the women into renewed public attention. Madix said she was "determined" to "make a moment" with her wetlook gown to show she deserved the hosting role. Miller, who confronted her former flame and friend at the reunion, chose Di Petsa’s Unravelling Silk Dress; designer Dimitra Petsa said it was "inspired by the natural patterns left behind by the sea as it meets the sand," and that "the sculptural draping echoes the fluid lines, ripples and movement of water." Petsa describes her signature wet designs as actually dry pieces fashioned with a top-secret technique of precise draping and stitching that tricks the eye.
