Forza Horizon 6 Devs Remove Stolen Credits After Hummer Exploit
Some Forza Horizon 6 players discovered a strange exploit that used a specific Hummer setup to send the vehicle into a glitch and earn tens of millions of credits in minutes. Combined with the multiplayer Eliminator mode, the trick could pay out over 20 million credits after exiting before a match ended and even let players reach 999 million credits.
Playground Games took Eliminator offline temporarily, published an FAQ, and deleted the ill-gotten cash from players’ in-game bank accounts. Players who began buying cars ahead of a rollback were proved right when the studio removed the stolen credits. No one who used the Hummer exploit will be banned.
The studio said players who participated will have their accounts restored to a maximum of 10 million credits and that, because the error was on the developer side, no further action will be taken. To compensate for removing the mode, every player will receive a 2021 McLaren Sabre.
