On June 1, Epic released the first official trailer for Fortnite Season 7 Chapter 3 ahead of the season’s weekend launch. The teaser offered the usual flashes of new gameplay, weapons and map areas, but one new cosmetic stood out: a tattooed woman wearing short-shorts and a bikini top, which many have called Fortnite’s most realistic, revealing skin yet.

Reactions online ranged from excitement to concerns about children seeing the character. The character first appeared in a May 31 teaser image, and a HypeX dataminer tweet about that image drew over 4 million views and more than 1,000 shares. The trailer confirmed a variant without a coat that shows more skin, spurring AI artwork and heated discussion.
