Until Dawn 2 is happening. It follows a crew of ghost hunters — a group of content creators who have landed a TV deal — exploring a remote tropical island as they try to go viral online. PlayStation’s Firesprite studio is making the narrative horror adventure, which is launching sometime in 2027.

Despite being a numbered entry, Until Dawn 2 will be a completely standalone story with a new cast; the premise remains the same: navigate horrors and narrative choices to see which characters can survive until the sun comes up. PlayStation is promising a more refined choice system this time around: "How you manage relationships within the crew matters more than ever, with some branches based on where things stand between characters," reads a PlayStation blog post.

The trailer climaxes with a player decision to jump alone or push a friend off a cliff. While Supermassive Games made the first Until Dawn, the new game is being made by Firesprite.
