Firefox for Android adds tab groups, simpler settings and tracker view
The latest update to Firefox for Android brings three notable features: tab groups, a redesigned Settings screen, and a Blocked Tracker Widget. Tab groups, already available on desktop, arrive on mobile via version 152, letting you organize related tabs into named, color-coded groups that can be closed to save space and reopened when needed.
Mozilla says the feature will reach iOS later this year. The Settings screen has been overhauled with a cleaner layout, improved labels and navigation, making it easier to find and discover options while leaving existing preferences unchanged. The new Blocked Tracker Widget displays how many and what types of trackers the browser has stopped, surfacing activity from Enhanced Tracking Protection.
That protection blocks trackers that follow you around online and includes defenses against harmful scripts without breaking site functionality. To update, open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, select Manage apps & device and update apps.
