The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select is on sale for $18, down $22 from its $40 list price — a 55% discount. The reduction applies to the first Fire TV device running Amazon’s new Vega OS, and is available on Amazon while the discount holds. The 4K Select is the first Fire TV device to launch with Vega OS.

Built on Linux rather than Android, Vega uses less memory, runs more efficiently and launches apps faster, while keeping the familiar Fire TV interface and the Alexa Voice Remote. The stick streams in 4K UHD and supports HDR10 and HDR10+. It also offers HDMI audio pass-through for Dolby Atmos and other surround formats, Wi‑Fi 5 for streaming bandwidth, Bluetooth for wireless headphones, and includes an HDMI extender.

A dedicated voice button on the remote lets you search and launch apps with Alexa, and the device supports Alexa+, which handles more conversational questions and remembers context. Native app support on Vega OS is still expanding, so some services run from the cloud and may take longer to load if internet speed drops.
