Final Fantasy 7 Revelation: Everything you need to know
Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is the third and final part of the Remake series, picking up where Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth left off. Officially revealed as the finale at the end of Summer Game Fest Live 2026, a trailer premiered and director Naoki Hamaguchi unveiled the title while Vincent Valentine’s English voice actor, Matt Mercer, appeared on stage.
The RPG is set to arrive next year, coinciding with the original Final Fantasy 7's 30th anniversary. Revelation is slated for Spring 2027 and will launch simultaneously on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Switch 2. Hamaguchi confirmed the cross-platform release, a change from Remake and Rebirth, which initially launched as timed PS5 exclusives before coming to other consoles.
The story continues Cloud and his companions as they race to stop Sephiroth—now said to be nearing godhood—and a meteor threatening the world.
