Square Enix revealed the third and final chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy at Summer Game Fest. It is titled Final Fantasy 7 Revelation and will launch simultaneously on all platforms in spring 2027. The trailer emphasized combat, showing playable Vincent, Cid, Yuffie, Cait Sith and Tifa in a distinctive costume.

Naoki Hamaguchi said the theme of Revelation is "resolve", with the main cast steeling themselves for the final battle; Matt Mercer, the voice of Vincent Valentine, joined onstage to show gameplay. Players will pilot the Highwind across a massive open world from Midgard to Wutai, and can jump from the airship and descend by parachute to explore on foot.

Vincent, who appeared in Rebirth, is fully playable here for the first time in the remake trilogy; he can transform into a frightening monster and pairs well with Cid, who fights with a lance. The remake began in 2020 with the first part, later upgraded as Intergrade and ported this year to PC, Switch 2 and Xbox, followed by Rebirth in 2024.
