Final Fantasy 14 fans celebrate Blown Away emote that sends Lalafells flying

With patch 7.51 due tomorrow and the Evercold expansion arriving in January, Square Enix has updated the Mog Station with two new emotes: Blown Away and Overreact. Both are silly and well suited to gpose, but Blown Away has become the focus of a lot of roleplay clips.

The emote’s exaggerated knockback is being used for cartoonish violence, often aimed at Lalafells. One post sums up the mood: "Lala, run over and killed." Clips show Lalafells slapped to the ground, sent flying by a chonky landing and even kicked by an Au'ra, with fans quipping, "What a shockwave." Another player called it, "The potential of the new emote is insane," after lining up Lala-on-Lala slaps and a Warrior of Light delivering a very emphatic hit.

Other races are getting tossed, too. A Miqo'te compilation shows characters run over by mounts, fanned into the wind and zipped away by parasols using the Blown Away animation.
