FIFA World Cup 2026: Following a team could cost up to $31,000
A pre-tournament analysis of ticket, flight, hotel, and local-transit costs modeled how much a fan might spend following one team through the World Cup. FIFA is using dynamic pricing for this edition and offered 1,000 tickets at $60 for each match, distributed by each participating country's governing body and allocated to loyal fans.
Attending Argentina’s three guaranteed group-stage games would cost roughly $9,800. The cheapest round-trip flight from Buenos Aires to Kansas City was just over $1,300; five nights in Kansas City and eight nights in Dallas added about $1,800 and $3,000 respectively.
The lowest ticket prices found in early May were $747, $835, and $862 for the three group games, with a $166 domestic flight between cities, about $33 in local transit, and a roughly $900 flight back to Buenos Aires. If Argentina reached the final, costs climb sharply.
