Fields of Mistria 1.0 launches August 5 with marriage and babies

Fields of Mistria's 1.0 update arrives on August 5, adding marriage, babies and a range of other features. The announcement trailer appeared during the Wholesome Direct showcase and offers a glimpse of the new content. The update introduces 10-heart friendship events with villagers, marriage, and children.

The trailer shows a ceremony with the blacksmith March and domestic life with Juniper (your baby's name is rune), alongside wedding outfit portraits and an alternate sprite of Juniper holding your baby. Town content expands as well: new Saturday Market vendors — including one named Stillwell — are being added, you can raise town renown to 100, and a town repair quest line can be completed, which is likely related to the cutscene featuring Adeline and Eiland's mother Baroness Linnet.

There is also a giant, rideable chicken. The game remains priced at $14, and NPC Studio confirmed it will not be raising the price for the full launch.
