Real Madrid have broken the women's transfer record to sign 19-year-old striker Felicia Schroder, paying in excess of €1.3 million. Chelsea had reportedly offered around £1.2 million as interest from top clubs across Europe and enquiries from the NWSL intensified following Schroder's breakout performances.

Schroder joined BK Hacken in April 2023 shortly before her 16th birthday and marked her debut with a stoppage-time goal. Her numbers climbed rapidly: 15 appearances with three goals in that first season, then 24 appearances and 12 goals in 2024, before an explosive 2025 campaign of 30 goals and nine assists in 26 starts as Hacken won the Damallsvenskan.

She signed a contract until 2029 that made her the highest-paid player in the league at 18. Her continental form helped seal the move. In the inaugural 2025-26 UEFA Women’s Europa Cup Schroder scored eight goals in nine games, including four across the two-legged final and a hat-trick that secured the trophy on May 1.
