Faye awakens in the Everywhen in God of War Laufey’s 20‑minute trailer
The new God of War spin-off opened with more than 20 minutes of footage showing Faye waking after her cremation into an unfamiliar realm. She recognizes her burned clothes and laments not saying goodbye to Kratos and Atreus, implying her death was sudden; Deborah Ann Woll reprises the role.
Early in the sequence she finds a crumbling mask resembling the Mask of Creation and warns that “another mask” could put Kratos and Atreus in danger. Gameplay presents Faye as markedly more agile than Kratos, with a double jump and acrobatic moves that emphasize vertical combat and juggling plantlike enemies.
She also uses magic that she admits feels weaker than it should be, suggesting a different playstyle beneath the over‑the‑shoulder presentation. Faye gains companions as she goes: a small dragonlike guide and later a gelatinous cube named Phranque, voiced by Jack Quaid, which carries a sentient ribbon called Rue wrapped around a sword.
