Falco in Star Fox is every toxic DPS you've ever played with
I haven’t started Star Fox on the Switch 2 yet, but I have a lot of fond memories of Star Fox 64. Back then Falco Lombardi, the cocky bird pilot and frenemy to Fox McCloud, was my favorite; I loved his smarmy attitude and one-liners like “Hey Einstein, I’m on your side!” I wanted to see how the remake would handle him and found a clip that captures Falco at his worst: the toxic DPS who dives into the backline and demands heals.
In less than 30 seconds, Falco cycles through several comms—berating the player for not giving backup, saying he “could use some of that teamwork” from the onboarding meeting, then complaining when Fox saves him and later accusing him of stealing kills. One clip even pairs that behavior with the caption “Falco shut the fuck up.” Those lines are triggered by different in-game events, so they wouldn’t usually play in such rapid succession, but hearing them still brought back Overwatch flashbacks of an overconfident Genji asking why he wasn’t being healed.
